  • Wallet: Reffers to payment wallet on AMCHAT where users can send, recieve funds, pay bills or purchase items on the AMCHAT business page.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Device Information

When you use Amchat, we may collect information about your device, including device ID, operating system, and version.

1.2 Contact Upload

Amchat allows you to upload your contacts to facilitate easy connection with friends. We only access and store contact information with your explicit consent.

1.3 Live Location

If you choose to share your live location with other users, Amchat will collect and process this information to provide real-time location services.

1.4 Video and Image

Amchat may access your device’s camera and gallery to capture and share images or videos within the app. We do not store media content permanently unless you choose to save it.

1.5 Contact Sharing

You can share contacts with other users through Amchat. This information is only shared within the app and is not used for any external purposes.

1.6 Voice Call and Video Call

Amchat provides voice and video calling features. During these calls, we collect necessary data to facilitate the communication, but we do not store the content of your calls.

What Information Do We Collect?

We collect information from you when you visit our app, register on our app, place an order and or make payment, or use the timeline, channel or access the public profile.

  • Account Information: You must provide your mobile phone number and first name, last name , email address in order to use the create an AMHAT account. If you don’t provide us with this information, you will not be able to create an account to use our Services. You can add other information to your account, such as a profile picture, public profile information when you want to use those services within the application.
  • Additional Wallet Information: When you initiate a request to use our wallet functionality we would request your in accordance with CBN regulations we would request your BVN(Bank Verification Number) legal names, address and your identification.
  • Additional Order Information: We also collect your address for delivey and contact information when you place an order in the Business page.
  • Device Information: We also collect information from mobile devices for a better user experience, although these features are completely optional.
  • Your Messages. We do not retain your messages in the ordinary course of providing our Services to you or when there are route to our servers. Instead, we implement an end-to-end encryption mechanism to seculy route your message to to other parties you communicated with, meaning all communication and message route to our servers are variables we can view from our servers.

  • Phonebook (Contacts list): Your contacts list allows the app to be much easier to use by the user since accessing your contacts from the app makes

you save tons of time.

  • Transactions And Payments Data. If you use our payments services, place orders on the AMCHAT BUSINESS, or use our Services meant for purchases or other financial transactions, we process additional information about you, including payment account and transaction information. Payment account and transaction information includes information needed to complete the transaction (for example, information about your payment method (AMCHAT Wallet, Card Information, shipping details and transaction amount). If you use our payments services.
  • Analytics: We may use in-app analytics technologies, like Google Analytics, to help improve and simplify the overall app, design and service. These tools track aggregated information about in app usage, provide performance measurements and allow better reporting on application failures.
  • Camera (Pictures): Granting camera permission allows the user to upload any picture straight from the camera, you can safely deny camera

permissions for this purpose.

  • Photo Gallery (Pictures): Granting photo gallery access allows the user to upload any picture from their photo gallery, you can safely deny photo gallery access for the app.

However, neither people nor security systems are foolproof, including encryption systems. In addition, people can commit intentional crimes, make mistakes or fail to follow policies. This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of NIGERIA without regard to its conflict of laws provision. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in connection with any action or dispute arising between the parties under or in connection with this Privacy Policy. We are in complience with the Nigerian Data Protection Policies and the Central Bank Of Nigeria.

The laws of NIGERIA, excluding its conflicts of law rules, shall govern this Agreement and your use of the app. Your use of the app may also be subject to other local, state, national, or international laws.

By using AMCHAT or contacting us directly, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you should not engage with our application, or use our services. Continued use of the application, direct engagement with us, or following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy that do not significantly affect the use or disclosure of your personal information will mean that you accept those changes.

We do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.
